Renton, Washington – November 30, 2025 The 13th Annual Global Women Festival, presented by AmPowering, unfolded on November 30, 2025, in Renton, Washington, as a deeply moving and transformative gathering dedicated to women’s empowerment, leadership, and advocacy. Serving as the organization’s final event of the year, the festival stood as both a celebration of progress and a solemn call to action in the continued fight against domestic violence.
At the heart of the evening was the Mrs. Universe America Pageant, where Dr. Davies Chirwa, Founder of Channel A TV and DC Productions, was entrusted with the role of Distinguished Main Judge. Dr. Chirwa’s appointment reflected not only his professional stature, but also his long-standing commitment to mentorship, community upliftment, and the advancement of women’s voices through media and leadership. In recognition of his service, mentorship, and unwavering support to current and former pageant contestants, Dr. Chirwa was formally honored by Menka Soni, Redmond City Councilmember and Founder of AmPowering, alongside members of the AmPowering Board. Throughout the pageant, Dr. Chirwa crowned winners across various categories and applauded all participants for their powerful platform presentations.
These presentations transcended traditional pageantry, addressing pressing social issues affecting women and communities, and reinforcing the pageant’s purpose as a platform for advocacy, purpose, and impact. The Global Women Festival 2025 was intentionally dedicated to Domestic Violence Awareness and Advocacy, shedding light on a crisis that continues to affect countless women and families. AmPowering reaffirmed its mission through tangible action, with all funds raised from its events throughout the year allocated toward providing interim shelter through the organization’s Mayka Program, as well as vital support services for women impacted by domestic violence. One of the most poignant moments of the festival was the honoring of six extraordinary women with the Ms. Empowering Universe title.
These women were celebrated not for outward beauty, but for their courage, resilience, and truth. Each bravely shared personal testimonies of surviving domestic violence, transforming pain into purpose and standing as living symbols of hope, strength, and healing for others walking similar paths. As the festival concluded, it left an indelible mark on all in attendance. The 13th Annual Global Women Festival was more than an event, it was a powerful affirmation of resilience, a tribute to survivor voices, and a reminder that through leadership, compassion, and collective action, communities can foster lasting change and restore dignity to those who need it most.
