Dr. Davies Chirwa is a multi-award-winning global media executive, visionary entrepreneur, and internationally recognized humanitarian leader. He is the Founder and President of Channel A TV, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to media access, cultural diplomacy, and community empowerment, and the President of DC Productions Media Group, a multimedia firm specializing in large-scale event production, television broadcasting, and digital technology integration.
Widely regarded as a trailblazer in global storytelling, Dr. Chirwa has produced and directed exclusive media features and documentaries showcasing some of the world's most iconic leaders and high-profile events. His work includes coverage of President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry, and African Heads of State during the historic U.S.–Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. His production credits span prestigious platforms such as the Oscars, GRAMMYs, BET Awards, MTV Awards, NFL Super Bowls, FIFA World Cup qualifiers, U.S. Soccer, NBA, WNBA, and the United Nations Summit, among others.
Blending creativity with cutting-edge technology, Dr. Chirwa has produced compelling sports documentaries featuring elite athletes including Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, Deion Sanders, Bobby Wagner, Doug Baldwin, Michael Irvin, Marcus Trufant, Danielle Pelham, and Sydney Leroux. Through both Channel A TV and DC Productions, he continues to provide access to underserved voices, advance narratives of resilience, and create bridges between communities through media and advocacy.
His leadership is deeply informed by his African roots and his upbringing in the Pacific Northwest, shaping a unique perspective that champions diversity, equity, and cross-cultural exchange. His early academic and technical training in computer hardware and networking laid the foundation for his signature fusion of media production with digital innovation.
In recognition of his lifelong commitment to media excellence, human empowerment, and cultural influence, Dr. Chirwa was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Humanitarianism and Global Media Leadership from The American Management University in California — an honor reserved for exemplary global change-makers whose work transcends industries and borders.
